I've only been watching New Japan since G1 29. I've been resubscribing to New Japan World for the two months the G1 runs every year since then, but outside of that I don't follow New Japan super closely. I was under the impression that winning the G1 granted a World title shot at the following Wrestle Kingdom (pretty much exactly like a Royal Rumble win), but I've been reading that in 2012, Okada turned the reward into a Money in the Bank style "cash-in-able" prize, complete with briefcase. So is that how Zack Sabre Jr. is able to "call his shot" for KOPW?
