What are some hikes where I can practice using knots like tying a hammock between 2 trees, tying to heavy wood to drag, etc?

I'd like a good hike where we can practice these things. Kyoto is also close so if there's any you know there is good too. Thank you very much!

This park would no doubt give you opportunities to tie a hammock between two trees, but tying off wood to drag, I don’t know. It depends on whether they’ve recently cut some trees down.

Also, if you’re going to be dragging heavy wood, you may want to prepare an explanation in Japanese to explain what you’re up to. If wood is laying around, it’s probably where they want it, so if you are moving it, someone will probably ask.

  2. Sounds like you’re getting ready for some wilderness MacGyver action! Try out hikes with diverse tree types and terrains to really put those knot skills to the test. Happy camping and knot-tying!
