Going for a solo-trip amidst the touristy season, but still hope to find some peaceful spots to walk around. I'm interested in tranquil parks, local bar culture, refurbished film cameras, small bookstores, art museums and onsens.
Here's my plan for walking around, I'd appreciate your recommendations for nice places to visit along this route and possible de-tours (I'm not sure about going to Hakone and Nara):
November 12, Tokyo (Bakurochō)
– Arrive to Narita Airport (4pm), hotel check-in.
– Explore the neighborhood.
November 13, Tokyo (Kameido to Asakusa)
– Koto Tenso Jinja.
– Asakusa and Sensō-ji.
– Sumida Park to Sakurabashi Bridge.
– Ueno Park.
November 14, Tokyo (Shibuya City and Shinjuku)
– Garden at Meiji Jingu.
– Shibuya crossing and Shibuya Sky.
– Omoide Yokocho for dinner.
– Drink at Golden-Gai.
November 15, Day Trip to Hakone
– I just want to see Mount Fuji, not sure if that's the best trip for that?
November 16, Tokyo (Tsukiji to Shirakawa)
– Visit the remains of Tsukiji Outer Market.
– Visit Tsukishima Sta. area for the monjayaki lunch.
– Walk to Ozu Bridge and to Shirakawa.
– Visit Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.
November 17, Tokyo (Shimokitazawa and Inokashira)
– Vintage shopping for old film cameras. Is this a right area for this?
– Flash Disc Ranch for old music records.
– Ghibli Museum.
– Inokashira Park.
November 18, Tokyo (Ginza)
– Imperial Palace and Kokyo Gaien National Garden.
– The National Museum of Modern Art.
– Walk around Ginza.
November 19, To Kyoto
– Take a Shinkansen to Kyoto, check-in at guesthouse.
– Kinkaku-ji.
– Funaoka Onsen.
November 20, To Koyasan
– Take a direct bus to Koyasan.
– Okunoin Cemetery
– Check-in at the buddhist temple for a night.
November 21, To Osaka
– Morning buddist ritual and breakfast at the temple.
– Train to Osaka.
– Dotonbori, hotel check in.
– Shinsekai Market.
November 22, To Kyoto
– Train to Kyoto.
– Fushimi Inari.
– Explore Gion.
– Pontocho.
November 23, Kyoto or Nara?
– Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Tenryu-ji.
– Nara Park and Nakatanidou.
November 24, Kyoto
– Visit one of the temples.
– Head to Kansai International Airport :'^)
