Basically I’m a college student at the moment, currently in my second year. I’m from the USA. I have been learning Japanese for a year now and will continue to learn it for the next years until I graduate.
After graduating, I plan on applying to the program that will allow to to go overseas to Japan and teach English for a year or two.
My questions are, what is life like for a young woman in Japan? I will be around 24 when the move happens. My fiancé will be coming along too.
I’ve just heard not the best things when it comes to how women and foreigners are treated.

YMMV. Most extreme “benefit” I heard was free host club for being a foreign blonde woman. Some other cases were as bad as having property broken into.
