So I recently bought a used Breville coffee machine (Bambino Plus) that was originally purchased in USA. I was under the impression that the plug would be the same as what we have here however I found that the machine has a 3 prong plug (Type B 5-15).
After some research I've found that some just buy an adapter for their appliances but in my case, the machine operates at 1560W which makes me seriously consider getting a 2000W step up transformer as simply using an adapter might not be sufficient.
Does anyone here have any experience with operating larger household appliances intended for 120V~60Hz on a 100V~50Hz circuit (Eastern Japan)?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, based on what's been said I decided to get an adapter with a ground wire and will connect it to a wall plug with the ground screw.
