I have found that buying alcohol in Japan ( I am talking Tokyo and Osaka) is cheaper than buying at the duty free at the airport.
I am so glad I did not wait to buy at the duty free stores. It was double what I paid at Bic Camera in Osaka and YaMaYa in Shubiya.
