Daily stress and the after-work drinking culture is not turning young people into alcoholics fast enough, so the government feels like they need to do something about the issue.

I was thinking about this while watching 居酒屋新幹線 on Netflix this week. It seems like the whole show is a paid commercial for every single brewery in Japan.
“We’re still not letting gaijin in so now you young people that are overworked and underpaid gotta pick up the spending slack”
