New Japan are quite known for their big singles matches and the stories that come with it. But when new japan do triple threat matches in the singles division it doesn't have that same level of buzz or draw to fans.
In 2018, I believe(correct me if I'm wrong) was the first time they had singles Triple threat matches. The first was for the Never title and the other was for the IWGP Title.
It seems like there is more excitement for Triple threat matches with their in the tag division.
The only Triple threat match that I think delivered in singles was for the IWGP women's title at Sakura Genesis. That match was excellent and the ladies delivered with the fans reaction quite well.
