I will be visiting Japan in about 3 weeks, and I’ll be staying for 2 weeks. Before I say anything else , I wanted to know if the travel restrictions have truly been lifted for going to Japan in 2024? I was told that you no longer need your proof of vaccination or a negative test result . I was wondering if anyone who travelled very recently from the states can tell me if this is true or not. The only document I have ready is my US passport (along with other forms of identification). Will I be okay with just a US passport flying out of the states next month?
Unfortunately, I really suck at planning and I get a lot of anxiety while trying to plan and end up screwing myself over . But so far I know these for a fact …
when I arrive in Tokyo, I will spend 2 nights In Asukasa to explore Tokyo and see the nightlife . I also want to explore Akihabara, and visit as many restaurants I can . I’ve got 6pm tickets booked for Shibuya Sky. I don’t drink so the bar scene isn’t really for me . Just walking at night through Tokyo will be enough for me (I’m only spending 2 days there cause I’m not that crazy for the hustle bustle of the city)
after Tokyo, I plan on going to Yamanashi and spending a week there to explore all the different sights centered around Mt Fuji. I want to visit places like Lake Motosu, Lake Shibire, and Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway. I also want to visit Fuefukigawa Fruit Park, as well as the Hottarakashi Onsen
After Yamanashi, I want to go to Nagano and visit Tateishi Park observatory to get the view of Lake Suwa at night .
I then plan on going to Wakayama and I hope to visit Tomaga Island . I hear there is a ferry that goes to the island even though the island has no people in it .
