I have my twitter languages set to Japanese and English, follow several Japanese musicians/game & anime studios, but it still shows me very little Japanese. I don’t even know where to start with Facebook, I never really find any Japanese accounts on there.

Clicking on everything that contains at least some Japanese will help the algorithm bring things you want: any art, video, even if it’s not exactly what you like or if it’s in Japanese that is hardly understandable – click it anyway. It’ll bring things up in your for-you page.
