Did something happen in Fukushima? An earthquake or something that could interfere on the telephones? Because my family is trying to contact my grandma, but she doesn't answer the phone, we're trying to contact other relatives to go to her house and check if everything is okay, but until now, we still have no means to be sure about wht happened to her. She lives by herself by choice, and we always feared about something like this happening, but we had to respect her decision.
Please, please, i really hope that we're just overreacting and she is fine, but if anything happened in Fukushima that would at least explain the lack of new from her.

Fukushima has not had any outages or sever natural issues for a while. Maybe someone here who lives in that area can assist you in reaching her. I hope for the best, OP
Call the police for a welfare check.
Fukushima as a city? Or as prefecture? The latter is quite big..
That being said, a neighbor, friend or police welfare check are your best bet.
Hope everything is alright OP.
I am in fukushima. Beside heavy rain yesterday nothing serious
Hi OP, I’m Canadian but familiar with some things and second the suggestion to call in a welfare check for granma. Here is a very cute Fukushima police info graphic site with all the designated numbers. Much of Japan has had heavy rain and strong winds the last few days. If she lives in the country at all, could easily be a power/phone outage (we had power outage where I live yesterday from storms). Still, if she’s older it’s worth calling the police to do a welfare check. That’s one of their major functions.
