Hokkaido November Itinerary

Note: there will b 4 people total, would jr or car be best for this cost wise?

Hey, I’m planning a trip to Hokkaido in early November and could use some advice. Here's my rough itinerary:

Day 1: November 1 (Asahikawa)

Land in Asahikawa at 11:30 AM, rent a car.

Head straight to Daisetsuzan National Park for some light hiking or take the Asahidake Ropeway.

Drive back to Asahikawa in the evening, maybe grab dinner at Ramen Village.

Overnight in Asahikawa.

Day 2: November 2 (Asahikawa to Sapporo)

Morning: Quick stop at Asahiyama Zoo or Otokoyama Sake Brewery.

Or explore bieie or furano where the blue lake and waterfall is

Drive to Sapporo, drop off the car if I don't need it in the city.

Explore Odori Park, Sapporo Beer Museum, maybe try the Genghis Khan BBQ for dinner.

Overnight in Sapporo.

Day 3: November 3 (Sapporo)

Considering skipping Otaru and exploring more of Sapporo:

Moerenuma Park (a blend of art and nature by Isamu Noguchi).

Mount Moiwa Ropeway for views of the city.

Evening: Tanukikoji Shopping Street.

Overnight in Sapporo.

Day 4: November 4 (Day Trip to Otaru or Explore More of Sapporo)

If I do decide to go to Otaru, it’d be a day trip by train, checking out the canal, glass shops, and seafood.

Or I could stay in Sapporo and hit places like Shiroi Koibito Park, Hokkaido Shrine, or the Historical Village of Hokkaido.

Overnight in Sapporo.

Day 5: November 5 (Sapporo or Noboribetsu)

Torn between a trip to Noboribetsu to see Hell Valley and relax at the onsen, or just staying in Sapporo for more sightseeing.

If I do Noboribetsu, I’d drive there in the morning and either return to Sapporo that night or stay in Noboribetsu.

Overnight in either Noboribetsu or Sapporo.

Day 6: November 6 (Departure)

Fly out of Sapporo at 11:30 AM, so I'd need to be back early that morning.

I’m also debating whether Jozankei Onsen is worth visiting or if I should focus on Sapporo. I like lakes, mountains, and onsens, but I want to make sure I’m making the most of my time. Any suggestions or alternative ideas? Would really appreciate some advice!
