Osaka (3 days) & Naha (1 day) itinerary – thoroughly researched with hyperlinks, fee costs and time estimations


Hello guys, do you think this itinerary is doable?

What would you change in order or what would you add? (I am a big fan of Anime/Videogames so maybe more nerd stuff?) I already tried to sort the places by distance to each other.

I have a feeling that day 2 is too packed lol! And I'm kinda missing night activities!

This is part 1 of my whole Japan adventure btw. but since there are 16 other days left I didn't want to overwhelm ya'll.

Osaka (04 – 06.10)

Arrival: 04.10 afternoon – at kansai international airport, train ride to hotel: ca. 1 1/2 hours

Day 1 (04.10): Osaka Castle

at around 4pm:

Osaka Castle (Osakajo):

◦ Estimated time: 2 hours. (Opened until 5pm)

◦ Entrance Fee: **¥600**

Day 2 (05.10): Exploring Minami (Namba) and Surroundings

Round 1 Stadium (near Namba for some physical activity fun)

Minami (Namba) – City:

◦ Visit discount store Don Quijote known for its quirky merch selection.

◦ Eat in “Osaka’s kitchen” Kuromon market

◦ Visit Okaru (4. pancakes shop near namba station)

◦ Visit Glico running man sign in Dotonbori. (don’t eat or stay in  too long - overrated tourist spot, apparently?)dotonbori

◦ Eat at Dontaku Doyama

Namba Parks (Massive shopping and entertainment complex):

◦ Visit rooftop garden.

◦ Estimated time: 1-2 hours.

DenDen town (akihabara alternative) – from nipponbashi to ebisucho station

Shinsekai (nostalgic district known for its retro charm):

◦ Don’t miss the Tsutenkaku Tower and the TOWER SLIDER (slide from third floor to basement).

◦ Estimated time: 1-2 hours.

Day 3 (06.10) – North Osaka

Tenma – longest shopping street of japan Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street

Amerikamura (Osaka’s Harajuku, north of dottonbori):

◦ Youthful fashion, boutiques, and cafés.

◦ Estimated time: 1-2 hours.

Shinsaibashi (near dottonbori):

◦ Explore the shopping streets and luxury boutiques.

◦ Visit the trendy area around Orange Street (Tachibana-dori).

◦ Estimated time: 2-3 hours.

Departure to Nara with shinkansen? Ticket costs: ??
