Finally watched Despy & Kanemaru v. Swerve in our Glory from the Forbidden Door buy-in: two tremendous teams, great match, really underrated.

   No one will change my mind.

   When it was first announced I was pissed because I thought it would be a squash match because of the size discrepancy. Turned out it was anything but. Without spoilers: it was inventive, entertaining and the Swerve/Despy apron spot was insane. All four of them treated that match like it was a main event and I love them for it.

2. Nobody from the AEW side of Forbidden Door left a stronger impression on me than Swerve in our Glory. Their recent match vs the Acclaimed was also very good!

3. I was really confused by the booking at the time because I thought swerve and Keith were breaking up soon but with hindsight it made a lot of sense. Regardless what a banger

5. Never really watched Swerve but he had my favorite sequence of the night. Next to Cassidy v Ospreay this was my next pick for match of the night. Also I like Desperado, but Kanemaru was, from the pov of someone who has never really seen him perform, the unsung mvp, cuz he bumped like hell for Keith Lee, to the point it was hella funny.

6. Loved this match! First time seeing Despy and Kanemaru wrestle in person and I was very impressed. Could’ve easily been on the main card but I can’t complain that they gave it to us for free!

8. Imo it was by far the best match of the night. It had me watching it back a few times.

9. You knew it was going to be good when it started out with Kanemaru peacocking Keith Lee. He doesn’t get to work with big dudes like him often in Japan and he made the most of it.

10. The ending sequence was one of my favourites

11. One thing I remember from this match was seeing Swerve and Desperado in the ring together. Swerve, the smaller man on his team, Desperado, one of the biggest juniors. And Desperado still looked tiny next to Swerve. But yes, it was a fun match.

12. They put on a main-event level match during the pre-show, fantastic job by everyone.
