Just seeking some thoughts on a few things for our trip planning!
Firstly, we've planned out a pretty good trip around Wakayama, but unfortunately were not able to get a booking at a Shukubo in Mt Koya/Koyasan before they were all snapped up.
So first Q – do you think it's worthwhile still visiting Koyasan without staying in a temple?
Secondly, we've got 5 nights in Kyota and wondering if we should use 1 or more of those for any overnight side trips to surrounding areas? I've looked a bit into Hyogo and Shira, does anyone have any tips for these areas?
