I am traveling to Japan in mid-Oct and looking to stay in a machiya in Kyoto, preferably in the Gion or neighboring area. Any recommendations? Budget is approx. $200/night. Most of the machiya I found online were sold out for Oct. Also, what website do you use to look for these?
