Shinkansen – Haneda Airport to Osaka

Hello I had a question about taking the Shinkansen from Haneda Airport to Osaka.

Based off google maps, I’ll be taking Keikyu Airport Line to Shinagawa Station (11min). Do a short 10min walk and head to Shinagawa Station where the Tokaido Shinkansen is located.

Based off my research I would just use the Suica card for the Keikyu Airport Line and then pay for the Tokaido Shinkansen ticket at the booth. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

My main concern is that I am landing on a Saturday (so probably busy?) and bringing a big luggage bag. Do Shinkansens sell out? My biggest fear is that I show up to the station for the Shinkansen and they’re all sold out. Do I have to reserve ahead of time? I’m also scared about reserving it and then missing it because I don’t know how long it’ll take to get from the airport to the Shinkansen.

I would appreciate clarification on this / any tips to look out for. Is it just as easy as just showing up to the Shinkansen and I’m stressing over nothing? (Yes I know I could have landed in the airport at Osaka but we end our trip in Tokyo so by the time we are done we have a short 30min trip to the airport, maybe should have planned that better lol but you live and you learn)

Thanks again!!
