Recommendations on a first credit card + new bank account

I moved to Osaka in late March with a student visa. My employer has been following up on my visa status change since last week.

Now that more than six months have passed since I arrived, and since I’ll be starting as a full-time employee, I believe my chances of getting a credit card are better than before. (I was denied by Rakuten in April when I applied for a credit card through a friend's referral campaign).

I currently have a Yuucho Bank account (cash card only, no debit card yet).

Do you have any recommendations for credit cards and bank accounts that offer the best benefits?

P.S. My credit score in my home country was good, as I always paid on time, so I don’t expect issues with overdraft or late payment fees.
