Want to keep learning by myself, what books- materials would you recommend?

Hello everyone, I’m a mexican student of japanese, since the pandemic started my japanese school suffered several changes and they are currently only offering begginer level japanese lessons. What books or materials would you suggest for a N3 level student to keep studying by myself?

  1. The Pimsleur courses are pretty good.
You can also find a tonne of free resources on Youtube.
I also suggest finding some Japanese music that you like. This can be difficult if you aren’t into the saccharine-sweet jpop stuff that comprises 99% of popular Japanese media. But there are good punk, metal, rock and other groups if you look hard enough.

Here is a Japanese rockabilly band that I really like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jS1wnb4u3w

  2. I loved [Wanikani](https://www.wanikani.com/) but it’s a little pricey. Thankfully the first three levels are free which is enough time to see if you gel with it. At N3 it might feel a little irritating to repeat some content you know already, but it’ll throw some readings you probably didn’t know at you, as well as some new vocab just by combining characters. It’s so good for vocab (which will soon become the main hurdle between n3 and n2), but you also get some grammar from it with example sentences.
