Hi everybody, I'm traveling with a friend to Hokkaido. We will stay in Hokkaido between 11/29 to 12/09. We will be arriving Hokkaido from Kanazawa probably by flight to Sapporo.
We would really like to ski and as December is early on the snowing season we wanted ideally to ski at the end of our Hokkaido time. The problem is that we will land on Sapporo (to the best of my knowledge this is the only airport with direct flights from Kanazawa (Toyama airport). And we will travel all the way to Shiretoko and depart from Memanbetsu Airport to Tokyo for the rest of our trip.
To the best of my knowledge the Western coast and is where it starts to snow earliest and therefor we thought about skiing in Niseko.
Should we just ski at the begging of our Hokkaido time although the snow will be worst? Will it even be much worse? Should we take another flight to Memanbetsu Airport from Sapporo and change the direction of our trip in Hokkaido and ski at the end of our time in Hokkaido?
Thanks a lot in advance, would appreciate *any* insight 🙂
