  1. Trying to learn japanese now as someone who can already understand and speak Cantonese/chinese, some questions about learning kanji and just general progression:

    Busy with life and other routines, so in a month I’ve only been able to learn hiragana and katakana (occasional mistakes with the double characters /small vowel for the latter) and I’m starting genki now, just done with lesson 0. Wondering how I can try and learn a bit quicker since it’s a bit disappointing to me to only get the alphabet equivalent done in a month.

    For kanji methods I tried wanikani a bit but it seems weird to learn the ‘parts’ of kanji with their weird made up names. Are there different kanji learning methods I can use in my scenario?
