I am a self taught software engineer who wants to move to japan, I don’t have a degree and only have 5 years of experience. I learned today about the ITPEC exam that can exempt someone from needing a degree or 10 years of experience for a work visa.
My question is: I found only some asian countries where they pass this exam, like (Philippines PhilNITS) but I found no information there about if you don’t live in the Philippines. Is it an option to travel there to take the exam? If so what kinda visa should I apply for?
There is a video that talks about this but it doesn’t share any details about how they travel to the Philippines.
If you have any info, thanks a lot for sharing.

I am about to take the same route wishing I can pass it on April next year.
basically you can take a tourist visa if your country needs a visa. My country can enter visa free for 30/90 days, can’t remember right now.
By the way, if you already in Japan like I am, please DM me
The guy in that picture looks like someone shaved an otter and rolled it in grease
Last I checked, the only country where the test is in English rather than the local language is the Philippines.
But last I checked, it was also only available to residents. Are you a resident of the Philippines?
