I just got accepted into language school so I’m moving to Tokyo and studying at Akamonkai for 6 months, but I’ve never lived abroad before and I want to be as prepared as possible so I was hoping to get some insight from people who have gone through the experience or anyone who might have any tips about life in Japan.
Also, should I wait for my COE before booking a flight? I have been given a start date by my school but I won’t get my COE or be able to book accommodation until November. I was advised to wait until then before booking a flight but it seems very last minute. I’m not really sure on the best course of action.

Don’t book a flight if your visa is not ready. Your school start date will be moved, as you need a visa before anything else.
