Hey fellow redditors,
on Saturday I will fly to Japan for my semester abroad in Osaka. I will fly to Haneda and have a connecting flight to Itami Airport.
My Visa is properly issued and I am looking into ways to get my residence card, which I need to get my Permission to Work in Japan.
I have seen that there are several airports with an Immigration Office in which I could get my Residence Card immediately at the airport. Unfortunately, Itami Airport ist not one of them but Haneda is.
I have about 4 hours layover between my arrival at Haneda and my flight to Itami from Haneda.
Is it possible to visit the Immigration Office at Haneda to get my Residence Card and then take the connecting flight to Itami Airport?
Otherwise I would have to visit a municipal office for the Residence Card, which would cause a greater time delay. As I quickly will need my Work Permission, I would be happy to immediately get the Residence Card at an Airport.
Furthermore, do you know if this whole process might be interfered by the fact that I am arriving in Tokyo, Haneda on a Sunday?
Thanks so much for your help in advance.

The only airport that is relevant in this situation is Haneda, because that is where you will be entering Japan and thus going through immigration/customs.
It has nothing to do with “visiting the immigration office” at Haneda. You go through immigration and get your card.
