Saving the last location on HTML? (LN)

I download LNs as HTML files and read them on my computer; however, I lose track of my progress as I shut down the computer or close the tabs. Are there any ways to save the last location on an HTML file? Maybe an add-on?

  1. I study web dev, and as far as I know it would either have to be a feature coded into the website (which would be a different file linked to it, not the HTML itself) or you’d need an external program that linked to the file and created a bookmark at wherever you were. It’s also possible to create buttons that go to specific locations with pure HTML, but in order for that location to be dynamic and change on its own it would have to be linked to a separate code file that tells it what to do.

In short, unless you’re a developer, no.
