First Timer 18 Day Itinerary — Too Packed? (Late Nov/Early Dec)

We are visiting Japan in late Nov/early Dec for the first time and are trying to finalize our itinerary so we can book our hotels.

We want to fit in the Nikko, Hakone, and Takayama, but we are worried we are trying to pack too much in.

We really want to ensure we have enough time to properly experience these smaller, less urban parts of Japan, as they are a big part of what we’re most excited to see. Does the beginning of our itinerary seem too packed for both Nikko and Hakone or is there a better way to organize our itinerary to avoid feeling rushed?

Any advice on how to better pace our time, especially in the more rural areas, would be greatly appreciated!
