A shady justice system. You can be held in jail for 23 without being charged. That’s probably just scratching the surface too.
Religious institutes involved in their political landscape. I have a feeling the unification church could be the tip of the iceberg.
Large industries that have refused to change policy, practice and culture since 1985.
High rates of hidden poverty, especially affecting children, and stagnating salaries.
Yeah I would read into the justice system. I’ve heard if you get arrested in Japan, There’s a 90% change you’re going to jail. I didn’t look into it more, I just avoid trouble but yeah…
