I will be going to Japan in a couple of months and plan to do some shopping. The problem is, I will actually go on from Japan to Thailand, instead of going straight back home. As a result, I really do not want to drag around a second suitcase with my purchases, so I plan to ship them home (from Tokyo, specifically). I don’t mind paying and waiting 2-3 months for my purchases to arrive. But I was looking into it, and the process seems a little more complicated than I was expecting. Any tips? Cautionary tales? Should I just ask my hotel to help me?
