Where did I go wrong?

Hello pretty peoples! I’ve been learning Japanese a bit and I’ve decided to put my knowledge to use by making a story! However, there are still some grammar and words that I have yet to known, and as a result, the “story” is only 2 sentences long. I came here because I wanted to see if I wrote it right and if there’s anything I missed. Here’s the “story,” and thanks for reading in advance!

ある 日、犬のボンは家の方を忘れていて「どこ、どこ!」と言った。

突如、赤い帽子を着ている人はボンに来ていて「大丈夫か?」と言った。

  1. Not sure where your Japanese skills are but trying to write is good! The only thing I’d point out is that for 帽子, you should use the verb かぶる instead! 着る is for shirts, jackets, etc. Depending on where the article of clothing is worn, different verbs are used.

  2. There are probably more things to comment on but what first caught my attention was that you used 着る where it should have been かぶる
