Fly out from Osaka

So we are staying in Tokyo from 2nd Oct to 10th Oct, then Kyoto 11th to 13th, and finally Osaka from 14th to 20th.

From Osaka, we want to take a day trip to Hiroshima and another to Kobe.

I was wondering what you guys think? Is my schedule too busy? Too empty? Are there enough rest days? We were also thinking about getting 7 day JRE passes that are valid from the 10th to the 17th to save money (all our train use is within those days) and flying into Tokyo and flying out of Japan by Osaka.

Finally, I just wanted to have some recommendations for what to do in Kobe and Hiroshima or if we missed anything major (we don’t like hiking much but we love good food, VR, roller coasters, beaches, nightlife, and cultural activities like visiting shrines).

Thanks!

  1. Super nintendo world is worth your whole day.

Osaka to hiroshima is ~90 minutes each way, and the trains with jr pass eligibility leave every ~45 minutes.

For Kobe, it might be worth packaging himeji castle into that day, or if you’re a godzilla fan, awaji Island has a fun godzilla theme area.
