Itinerary check – 4 days in Tokyo (first timers)

Hi everyone! My partner and I will be in Japan for our first time in October and would love any feedback and advice on the Tokyo part of our 2-week itinerary, which will be our final stop.

About us: we are both in our mid/late 20s and love strolling and immersing ourselves in local neighborhoods and checking out local shops, concept stores and cool cafes/restaurants in each area.

Day 1 – Kanazawa to Tokyo (Shinjuku)
* Board train from Kanazawa to Tokyo (~3h30)
* Check into hotel in Shinjuku
* Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
* Dinner at Omoide Yokocho + evening in Golden Gai

Day 2 – Shibuya & Shimokitazawa
* Shibuya Scramble Crossing
* Hachiko Status
* Explore Shibuya area
* Shibuya Sky
* Vintage shopping in Shimokitazawa

Day 3 – Ueno Park, Asakusa & Akihabara
* Ueno Park
* Asakusa (Senso-ji & Nakamise Shopping Street)
* Ameyoko Market
* Akihabara Evening

Day 4 – Ginza
* Lunch at Tsukiji Fish Market
* Shopping in Ginza
* Kappabashi Kitchen Tools Street
* Tokyo Station

I’d love to include Daikanyama, Nakameguro, and Ebisu in the itinerary but I’m not sure if it’ll be too packed or whether I should skip something to make room for these locations.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! x
