Ebino Plateau from Kagoshima Chuo

Hi!

I'm trying to figure how to get from Kagoshima Chuo to Ebino Plateau(Ebino Eco-Museum Center) to do a (short) hike around the lake/mountains

The website gives the following advice:

1h from Kagoshima Chuo Station to JR Kirishima Jingu Station
30 mins by bus from Kirishima Jingu Station to Maruo
30 mins from Maruo to Ebino Plateau

I also found https://www.city-kirishima.jp/kirikan/kanko/bus/renzan.html

Problem is, where is "Maruo"? Can someone give me a Google Maps location pin on it?

I also saw someone posting "I just wanted to give an update. I went to Ebino Kogen and everything worked perfectly! In detail: Train from Kagoshima to Kokubu JR station, then bus to 霧島いわさきﾎﾃﾙ, then connecting bus to Ebino Kogen (we were advised to change at 霧島いわさきﾎﾃﾙ instead of Maruo because in Maruo we would have to change a bus stop)."

Has anyone been to Ebino Plateau via public transport and back after a (short) hike? Would appreciate if you could give some guidance! (I'll be going there either on 29/30 October 2024
