I’m picking up my dog (6.5 kgs) from Narita Airport and will be taking a bus back to Tokyo Station.
From there I am planning on taking a taxi to where I live. Subway isn’t feasible since my partner will have two large pieces of luggage.
Will regular taxis allow dogs in a crate to ride?

I have seen small breed like Chihuahua been carried inside a pet bag inside taxi.
But before taking taxi, you can ask the driver if its allowed or not. It will make you both comfortable.
Uber lets you request a pet friendly ride.
If it will fit in the back seat it’s probably fine. We take our parrot around via taxi and have never been questioned about it.
I’ve taken my cat in multiple taxi rides. It might just depend on the taxi driver.
