Drawing people for tip

I was wondering if it’s fine if if offered some watercolour portrait drawings for people somewhere along the Fushimi-inari tori-path as a memory or postcard for travelers, against a tip… you think that would be ok or is there some kind of law or policy against doing stuff like that?

Edit: aight guys, I’m definitely not going to do it! thanks for your replies, glad I asked! I did not mean to disrespect the shrine in any way or beg for money I just thought it would be fun drawing people and fun for people to be drawn! Where I come from that is quite a common thing but I felt like people were almost offended by this question, so I’m sorry that was not my intention!

  1. The shrine would definitely not approve of that. It’s their property and you can’t sell (or accept tips) like that there.

  2. I don’t know about you but I would not be setting up anywhere near the stalls without the proper permit from the Shrine and the shrine isn’t the one you should be scared of.

    Locals would probably know why.

  3. No, it’s not fine at all, but you might get a fine if you try it. Begging at shrines is frowned upon, if not outright forbidden.
