Ordered iPhone 16, Apple management team canceled my order for no reason

Order the iPhone 16 Pro Max on September 16 on the official online Apple store and received an order confirmation email. I decided to check the order status yesterday, because the delivery was expected between October 10th and 18th, and it showed 'canceled'. I didn't cancel it, nor did I receive any notification of this happening.

I checked with Rakuten, since I used their card, they confirmed a successful payment. So all good on their end.

Tried ordering the iPhone again, payment denied…

Called the support phone number at the bottom of the confirmation email. It was an automated system which confirmed my order and its canceled status. When asking if I want to speak to a specialist, I have to press 1. Press 1 and nothing happens, not even the 'return to main menu' choice works. So it just terminates my call after a minute. Broken system…

I called Apple Customer Support, a friendly lady got me in touch with the 1 Japanese guy of the Apple store who can speak English. He informs me some management team decided to cancel my order. Reason ? He wasn't sure, but after checking it seemed that management team wants me to order the iPhone from an authorized reseller instead of the online Apple Store. WTF?! Are they serious ?

Meanwhile my payment went through, so Apple has my money, and decided not to deliver what I ordered and paid for. Without any notice, without any legit reason …

According to the guy on the phone, I should have my money back after 30 days … so a free loan to Apple who's swimming in cash…

What kind of commerce is this … how many people in Japan ordered from the official online Apple store and had their ordered canceled without any notification, holding their money, while they wait for the delivery of the ordered product…
