  2. Kanafall, a simple, free kana typing game for people looking to study hiragana or katakana.

    https://fauxtaku.itch.io/kanafall

Select hiragana or katakana and check from the list which kana you want to practice. They are grouped by letter so ka-ko are all grouped by one check box. It has checks for dakuten and chiisai tsu if you want to practice those as well.

  3. #Affordable WaniKani Alternative

If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative than WaniKani, I’ve put together an [app](https://app.nihongonoashiba.com/users/sign_up) that teaches kanji (and core 2k vocab) for a one time purchase of $25.

More on how this app works [here](https://nihongonoashiba.com/user-guide/).

Kanji study breaks the will of many eager learners, and learning how to study kanji is not intuitive.

For some long thoughts on how to study kanji effectively and the philosophy behind this app [here](https://nihongonoashiba.com/roadmap-step-3/).
