What is the city or town in Japan you have never visited, but that you really want to go to?

Today’s question is: What is the city or town in Japan you have never visited, but that you really want to go to?

There’s always that one place that got away! What’s yours? Where have you heard is awesome, but that you didn’t get a chance to add to your itinerary? What city or town did you only learn about after you got home? Maybe it’s a hard-to-get-to place or simply a place you couldn’t fit into your plans, but where would you really love to visit on your next trip to Japan?

  1. Oga, Akita. The *Namahage* culture is always fascinating to me. Would kill to visit there during the Namahage Sedo event in February. The main problem for Akita is that it’s too far away from most of Japan. Even a *Shinkansen* ride from Sendai takes over two hours.

  2. Hagi, Yamaguchi. Absolutely adore *Hagi ware* and Mori clan history is really interesting.

Considered: Yokote, Akita for Yokote Snow Festival and Hikone, Shiga for obvious attractions (sprained an ankle the day before I was supposed to go on a day trip there).
