Crowd levels in November? In general and in Kyoto

Hello,

We will be in Japan from the 13th till the 29th of November. I know it varies and there isn’t a definitive answer but generally what are crowd levels like this time?

We’ll be in tokyo first from the 13th to the 13th to the 19th, Hakone from the 19th to the 21st.

We will be in Kyoto from the 21st to the 26th and there is a weekend that falls within that time frame. I tried my best to avoid places like arashiyama and Nara on the weekend but those are the only 2 days we really have open for day trips. Will it be miserable over the weekend or not too bad if we go early?

I know it’s autumn foliage season but they said it’s going to be later this year so hoping we miss the peak crowds but expect it to be busy either way. Just want to know how busy if will be at the places we’re going and the dates if at all possible.
