  1. It’s not my only study source, but I did my first month (and streak) of DuoLingo. I am finding myself able to listen and translate some sentences with my eyes closed which is a great feeling. I’ve also finished going through Hiragana and Katakana and am able to read it when I see it. I picked up some writing practice books for both and have STARTED looking at Kanji.

I was listening to the “Japanese Made Easy” podcast, which was exceptional, but it ended at episode 25 so I’m trying to find a new podcast to replace it. Would love suggestions there.

I’m trying to find fun ways to get some vocabulary. I’ve found grammar to be a lot easier than I’ve expected, but reading and grammar comprehension are pointless without vocabulary and I still can’t comprehend anything I’m listening/reading.

I’ve been trying some anime with Japanese subtitles for reading/listening. I can’t for the life of me find JP subs for “Suzuka” but I did find some for Kanon (2006) so I’m trying that out.

I’ve def hit a lull after a high point and am wanting to make sure I keep my motivation going until I get some more steam.
