Hello!
I'm in a bit of a dilemma while booking hotels for my trip to Japan, and I could really use some advice. I plan to visit both Kyoto and Osaka from October 30th to November 5th. My schedule includes side trips to places like Kobe, Himeji, and Wakayama, but the key events are spending Halloween night in Osaka and attending a concert in Osaka on November 1st.
I’ve heard that Osaka is just another big city like Tokyo, so my initial thought was to spend as much time in Kyoto as possible, which I’m really excited about. My original plan was:
- Oct 30: Stay in Kyoto
- Oct 31 – Nov 2: Stay in Osaka (for Halloween and the concert)
- Nov 2 – 5: Return to Kyoto for a few more nights
However, I’m not sure if it makes sense to switch hotels that much. Should I just stay in Osaka from the 30th to the 2nd, and take day trips to Kyoto for sightseeing? That way, I wouldn't have to move hotels as often.
What would you recommend in this situation? Is it worth splitting my stay, or would it be better to stay in one place and take day trips? Thanks for your advice!
