Hi All, I will be in Japan for the Christmas period (Dec-Jan), I'm planning 4 days in Tokyo and 4 days in Kyoto/Osaka (including Universal for 1st Jan) and I would like to do 5 days road trip with a car of which 2 days skiing. I'm starting from Tokyo ending in Kyoto.
I have put together the below plan, does it make sense, any comments are welcome?
I am upper beginner, low intermediate skier (I can do easy reds) so I have decided to go to Nozawa Onsen ski resort. Happo-one seems more advanced. Any comments or recommendations between the 2, or other resorts in the area? While there I will go to the hot spring monkeys.
I would like to also visit some local smaller towns/villages, I have added Shirakawa abd Tsumago-juke on the way. See map. Does Nagoya or Toyama worth it to stay for a day?
Is this plan too touristy, do I get at all local Japanese vides?
Thank you for all the help.
