  1. >However, the section chief allegedly sent emails to the woman and her colleagues, calling her “a person picky about her job who insists on avoiding work relating to Russia.”

Bloody typical. I hope she gets her bosses whimpering at her feet as if they were non-stray dogs.

  2. > Regarding the Russian invasion, he even remarked, “Ukraine is also at fault.”

I get this a lot in Japan and it infuriates me. There’s a huge subset of the population that tends to go for conspiracy theories that has blindly bought into the idea that Ukraine somehow brought the war on themselves and are somehow therefore the real aggressors or something. But the minute you try to discuss it with them they start by refuting the reliability of all your sources. Instead they only believe the minority contrarians who claim to be the only ones who know the truth. Of course they believe them unquestioningly with no skepticism or attempt at verification.

  3. Not sure how Japan will survive with these attitudes so commonplace. It drives foreigners away, and yet they need to attract foreigners if they want to save themselves from the looming demographic and economic crises. Something just seems deeply problematic and ‘unfixable’ in Japanese culture. I’d ask if they’d learnt anything from history, but, then, they still don’t fully acknowledge or confront the past…

  4. > He allegedly berated her work attitude, saying things including, “You’re disgusting, like a stray dog,” and, “You look like trash.”

Disgusting 🤢 Poor woman suffering power harassment and mental abuse at the hands of her *old male superior*. Sadly, not the first time it happened. I hope she wins this case.

Ironically she looks like an angel.

  5. This is a common Japanese old fart who made young Japanese workers quit their job due to depression.

He just wanted to hurt her, regardless of her nationality, excuses, or political situations just because he had inconvenient experience with his Russian related client because of a subordinate, her.
