Hi all, I've been living and working full-time in Japan for 8 years. My job allows remote work, so I’ve been able to travel frequently, combining some work and vacation time. While my longest single trip was never more than 3 months, my rolling 12-month max days outside Japan is 155. I never stayed in one country for long; each trip was to a new place. I've seen conflicting info—some sources say being outside Japan for over 180 days is an issue, others say 100 days in a rolling year is the limit. I'm super worried this could affect my naturalization eligibility. Does anyone know how these rules are applied? Thanks for any help!
