Hello everyone! This is my first post here.
So I just arrived in Japan last week as both Student, we forgot to ask the Immigration Officer at the airport to give us a stamp for our part-time authorization.
Thus, we went to the Immigration Office in Minato-ku and after 2hours there they told us it was okay and gave us a paper and our residence card and passports back… but besides the paper there was no stamp whatsoever on the residence card.( paper is saying application receipt for additional activity )
They didn’t told us to go to another booth just sent us back home.
Am I in the right to be worried thinking they didn’t finish the work? lol
Thank you in advance for your help!

If you don’t have a stamp at the back of your resident card and no permission stickers in your passport, you have not been granted a work permit.
Sometimes they issue it on the day, sometimes they will accept the application and told you to come back later for the actual permisson.
Stamp is must for permit to work.
When employer asks your res card and sees no stamp on back, they wont hire you.
