My phone carrier is now 1390 yen with 20GB of monthly data

In addition to that: 70 minutes of free phone calls a month and using Docomo's first-tier network (not that slow, second-tier one).

Not promoting anything, just want to share it to fellow residents.
I think there was this post on Reddit that mentioned Ahamo is increasing its data cap from 20 to 30 GB with no fee increase.

I'm not with Ahamo anymore since I migrated to this MVNO called "Nihon Tsushin" (日本通信). It's from IIJ, the backbone of Japan's network infrastructure with a strong connection with NTT. I think this is what makes them able to use Docomo's first tier network.

Turned out they are giving us free upgrade too.
My current plan is 2,180 yen-ish? I forgot, but I am getting 30GB of data with 70 minutes of free phone calls a month.

Starting September 30, they're going to increase the data to 50 (FIFTY!) GB without any additional fee.
One plan below mine, 1,390 yen with 10GB of data, will increase to 20GB.
Twenty gigabytes of data for less than 1,500 yen, 1GB additional top up for only 220 yen, not-slow network.. I'm in. Will downgrade my plan to this one.

Not giving any links because this is pure good news to share, not a promotion. Search it for yourself.

Edit:
Well, a fellow redditor reminded me that a basic link will help everybody. So here it is. In full Japanese though.
