Hi everyone! I've just moved to Japan for a research internship. I am on a cultural activities single-entry visa. My internship will only last 6 months, however I have a 1 year visa. In my application for my CoE I said that the period of activity was 6 months, but on the CoE my visa, and my residency card it says the length of stay is 1 year. My question is, when I finish the internship and go home after the 6 months, am I allowed to come back and stay for some months up until the end of the residency period? I'd like to take advantage of having a whole 6 months leftover that I could use to travel around Japan, if possible.
I know that I am allowed re-entry with a special permit, which I have to do during my internship anyway, so that is not the concern, but it is whether there will be an issue with this if my internship is finished.
