ssw/working holiday visa for food service

i’ve been thinking about career paths in other countries, and was curious of the possibility of working in/moving to japan.

i’m currently in my first year of a 2 year diploma in culinary management at a college in toronto, canada.

i’d like to be somewhere rural-ish, living comfortably (salary that can cover cost of living).

from what i’ve seen online, my options are either applying for the working holiday program or something called specified skilled worker status. i understand both of these options are temporary, but could potentially lead to permanent residence through sponsorship etc.

my main concern is potentially requiring work experience for either visa option (i don’t have a lot). i’m not too worried about japanese proficiency as i have the time to study.

please let me know what my options are, and if this could actually work out.
