Advice for a beginner in Tennis in Tokyo/Yokohama

Hi all,

I’ve been interested on playing Tennis for a while now but never got the chance to start up on it til now.
Anyway, I am interested but I’m not yet sure if I will be really hooked on it so I’m not yet buying any equipment.

Can anyone recommend any places that rent Tennis equipment as well as courts so I can start practicing it? Also, obviously since I’m a beginner, I’ve never had any lessons so any recommendations for a good tennis school or a way to learn and get a feel of it?

(Of course, I can google it as well. But nowadays, I think the opinions in here would matter more compared to the reveiws in google that might’ve been paid for.)

TIA!

  2. friend of mine got into tennis through the tokyo meetup scene, slowly building up his network of buddies from there

started from renting/borrowing at events, fast forward 1 year later he’s playing 3-4 times a week.

  3. One kid went to Nikke for quite a while. They are a chain with schools here and there. Adults would take lessons after the kids. Always seemed pretty relaxed. Staff and teachers were always nice. Flexible lesson taking (for kids anyway).
