Need some help regarding takkyubin service max dimensions as I have two pairs of 185cm long powder skis that I’ll send ahead of time to Niseko upon arrival in Haneda. To my understanding, as long as we are below the max weight, they won’t bring out the tape. Does anyone have experience with this service?
My return trip will have us fly domestic from CTS to HND with our gear as our international flight is next day. Will the length of these skis also pose a problem to be accepted with ANA, JAL? Airline site and other forum anecdotal sources have been vague on this topic.
Side question: We’re going to use Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka on Jan 3. Will we need to book ahead of time(5 of us) or should things be okay as iirc everyone heads out of Tokyo leading up to New Years?
