Hi all. I'm a long-time resident with a permanent visa, and I'm leaving for an extended period (over a year, maybe more).
Wondering if I could hear from people who've done something similar and has advice. I intend to get a re-entry permit and keep my visa (residents card is good through 3/28 so I have time). I am leaving before the new year so I will inform city hall and the national health insurance so I don't get taxed next year (or so I am told). Do I need to talk to the pension folks? Any other advice? My daughter is still here so I can use her address for mailing purposes. I think I need that. Thoughts on how best yo handle things? Thanks all!
